Mike is a Democrat running for Congress in NY-11. He understands that our democracy is disappearing in real time. In the next Congress, Mike will fight to build guardrails to protect our rights, and ensure the government serves everyone — not just billionaires.

He is a fourth-generation Staten Islander, third-generation union member who has worked 35 years in public service. He has worked here, he commuted here — he gets it.

Mike was a paramedic, 9/11 first responder, retired NYPD police officer, civil litigation attorney, special education teacher, and former Chief of Staff in the New York State Assembly.

Now Mike wants to bring his decades of real-world experience to represent you in Congress.

He would be honored to serve Staten Islanders and South Brooklynites in Congress.

Our Priorities

Democracy

Strengthening guardrails to protect our constitutional and civil rights is Mike’s first priority. Government should serve everyone, not just billionaires.
Affordability

Mike will directly address stagnant wages and the rising costs for housing, healthcare, and groceries. Families and individuals need to not just get by — they need to get ahead. A well-paid labor market and strong unions will allow them to do so.
Education

As a former teacher, Mike will stop the dismantling of the Department of Education and believes that more investments need to be made in public education. Education is an equalizer and the more children that get the rigorous, well rounded public education they need, the more people will succeed.
